Seven Rings formed in 2008 following the seasonal St. Patrick's Day band that was put together for three years in a row by Pete Casey to help preserve his voice while gigging heavily between March 13th and 20th.
After March 2008, we decided there was a niche for an Irish band that had a heavy dose of classic rock influence along with a little (very little!) county and bluegrass thrown in for good measure.
Since March 2008, we've moved from playing pretty straight-forward arrangements of Irish pub songs to a more diverse set list that includes classic rock standards from Neil Young and the Stones to STP and U2. All the songs are arranged for acoustic instruments (mostly), though we have done a couple gigs with electric guitars and bass.
